INTERNATIONAL Finance Corp (IFC) is the part of the World Bank Group that is responsible for lending to the private sector in developing countries. It is increasingly seen as the global standard setter for corporate behaviour and some of its expectations are set out in its Environment Health and Safety (EHS) Guidelines.
