DRDGOLD Limited (DRDGOLD) is a medium-sized, unhedged South African gold producer. In FY2010, production was 241 194oz. The attributable resource is 60Moz and the attributable reserve, 7.3Moz.
DRDGOLD’s operations are:
- Blyvoor – underground mining, surface tailings retreatment;
- Ergo – surface tailings retreatment; and
- Crown Gold Recoveries Pty (Ltd) (Crown) – surface tailings retreatment; and
- East Rand Proprietary Mines Limited (ERPM) – underground mining discontinued, surface tailings retreatment reported under Crown.
DRDGOLD is also a 50% partner in an early-stage gold exploration project on Zimbabwe’s Greenstone Belt.
DRDGOLD’s primary listing is on the JSE Limited and its secondary listing on the Nasdaq Capital Market. At 31 December 2010, the company had a market capitalisation of R1.3 billion (US$187.4 million).
