Aviva is earning a 90% interest in the Mmamantswe project in Botswana where it has outlined a 1.3 billion tonne coal resource. The project is well positioned to fuel an Independent Power Project (IPP) being on the South African border and adjacent to key infrastructure including, highway, railway, and high voltage transmission and water resources. Aviva has progressed resource development studies at Mmamantswe on the mine, resource, coal preparation and environmental approvals.
Aviva owns the information and development approvals for the Coolimba coal and project in Western Australia. The project has EPA approval and is an ideal energy source for resource developments in the Midwest.
