Company News: Apoquindo Minerals
Updated: 24 Mar 2010
In Peru, Apoquindo holds an option to acquire 100% interest in Teck Resources' Zafranal Project. Originally discovered in 2003, Zafranal's work to date suggests potential to be a large ore-grade copper gold deposit. Zafranal is located in the rich Paleocene Copper Porphyry Belt, host to world class copper deposits, such as Toquepala, Cerro Verde, and Cuajone. Zafranal has seen over 11,000m of drilling which have identified a 2.5km long zone of copper gold mineralization nearly 1km wide. Several other porphyry targets exist on the property which will be drill tested for the purpose of defining a NI 43-101 compliant resource.
